Castiglione Falletto

Medieval town overlooking beautiful hills where top Barolo wine is produced

Castiglione Falletto takes its name from the Fallettis family, an important noble family that ruled over good part of the Langhe for many centuries, leaving a deep trace in the local architecture.

The charming old town is built on a hilltop, in the middle of which stands an impressive medieval castle, surrounded by breathtaking views of vineyards where some incredible Barolo wine is produced.

What to see

Take a tour around the narrow and winding streets of the old town, enjoy its genuine traditional vibe and walk by the castle’s walls to enjoy the stunning beauty of the surrounding landscape.

And while you are in the heart of Langhe, there is no better way to dive into local culture than going for a private wine tasting tour of the area.

You’ll learn more about the local way of life and enjoy the bouquet and flavours of the great red wine of Piedmont, the famous Barolo and Barbaresco, while talking to local producers and walking.

Whenever visiting a town in the surroundings of Alba, another great idea is to go for a truffle hunting tour.
